NoteHeads.in ("NoteHeads," "we," "us") provides music education and composition tools, including NoteSwar, NoteSwap, Prof. NoteHead, and ShowerHead Mic (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
Compositions, recordings, study history, and other material you create or upload ("Your Content") remain yours. By using the Services, you grant NoteHeads a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content back to you (and, where you explicitly enable sharing — e.g. a NoteSwar collaboration room — to the people you share it with) solely to operate the Services. We don't claim ownership of Your Content and we don't sell it.

Plus and Pro are recurring subscriptions: when you subscribe, you authorize us (through our payment processor) to charge your payment method automatically at the start of each billing cycle (monthly or annual, whichever you chose) until you cancel. We'll show you the price before you pay, and it won't change for your existing subscription without notice.
You can cancel anytime from Billing in your account. Cancelling stops future charges immediately — it does not refund the current cycle, and you keep whatever access you've already paid for until that cycle ends.
Schools and teachers may separately purchase institutional plans that grant seats to their students, billed per seat. Payments for all plans are processed by Razorpay (for customers billed in India) or Dodo Payments (for international customers) — we don't store your card details ourselves. Points, streak savers, and similar in-product currencies have no cash value and aren't redeemable outside the Services.
Refunds aren't automatic. To request one, go to Billing in your account, open "Need help with a payment?", and submit a request — we require a written explanation of at least 100 words and a phone number, so we can actually look into what happened and, if needed, reach you to verify it. Every request is reviewed individually; submitting one doesn't guarantee approval. If we approve and issue a refund for a Plus or Pro subscription, your subscription is cancelled and the plan access it granted ends immediately — you don't keep using the plan through the already-paid cycle the way a voluntary cancellation works. We'll email you once this happens. Points, streak savers, enrollment codes already redeemed, and institution seat billing are not covered by this refund process once used or redeemed.
Your streak counts consecutive days of active practice. In Prof. NoteHead, a day only counts toward your streak if you complete at least one quiz or one flashcard set that day — signing in, browsing, or chatting with Prof. NoteHead alone does not extend it. The dashboard's broader practice log reflects any recorded activity across NoteSwar, NoteSwap, Prof. NoteHead, and ShowerHead Mic, and may not always match Prof. NoteHead's own streak count, since the two track different things.
New accounts start with 100 points. After that, you earn 15 points once per day simply for opening NoteHeads (no other action required), plus 10 points for every 10 minutes you spend actively using the app with the tab open and visible. Points can be redeemed for streak savers, or you may purchase streak savers directly. Points and streak savers have no cash value, aren't transferable or redeemable outside the Services, and aren't refundable once purchased or redeemed. We may adjust these amounts or how they're earned at any time.
Prof. NoteHead's chat and study-material generation are powered by a third-party language model provider. Messages you send to Prof. NoteHead may be processed by that provider to generate a response. Don't share sensitive personal information in chat that you wouldn't want processed by a third party.
Prof. NoteHead and other AI-generated content (including NoteCheck AI feedback and scores) may occasionally be inaccurate, so please verify important details against official NoteHeads.in content. NoteCheck scores are estimates and not official exam marks; the drums check is newer and its timing thresholds are not yet validated against a labeled dataset. For best results, use headphones when recording against a reference or metronome; accepted recording formats include MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC and OGG.
The Services are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NoteHeads won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim arose.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
